How to get help
Email sibivelc@gmail.com and we will respond within 2 business days. No account creation is required to get support.
It helps if you include your workspace name, the channel or decision entry involved, and roughly when the issue occurred.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add a channel?
Open the public channel in Slack and invite the bot: type /invite @Workspace Historian. The app only monitors public channels it has been explicitly invited to — it never joins channels on its own. To stop monitoring a channel, remove the bot from that channel.
Why isn't the AI agent panel available on my free plan?
Slack's AI agent split-pane container is only available on paid Slack plans. That is a Slack platform requirement, not something Workspace Historian controls. On any plan — including free — you can still browse published decisions in the app's Home tab and search them with the /historian command.
How do I delete an entry, or all of our data?
A curator can delete any decision entry from within the app. For a full export or deletion of everything stored for your workspace, email sibivelc@gmail.com — requests are honored within 30 days. Uninstalling the app also deletes all stored workspace data within 30 days. See the privacy policy for details.
Why did it miss a decision?
Decision detection is AI-based and not perfect. Informal or implied decisions, or decisions spread across several conversations, can be missed. The app can also only see public channels it has been invited to, and only as much history as your Slack plan exposes — free plans surface roughly the last 90 days, and the app does not circumvent plan limits. Treat the knowledge base as a helpful index of your decisions, not a guaranteed complete record.
Does it read private channels or direct messages?
No. It reads only public channels it has been explicitly invited to. The only direct messages it can see are the ones you send to the app itself (in its DM or the agent panel). It cannot read private channels, group DMs, or conversations between other people.
Is our message content stored anywhere?
No. Workspace Historian uses zero-copy data handling: messages are pulled from Slack in real time, processed to detect decisions, and discarded. Only structured decision metadata is stored — the AI-generated title, summary, and reasoning, plus the channel ID, timestamps, permalink, participant user IDs, tags, and review status. The privacy policy lists exactly what is and is not kept.
Can an entry be published without anyone approving it?
No. Every proposed entry must be approved by a human curator before it is published. Nothing is auto-published.
What does it cost?
Workspace Historian is free during beta.
